The loving limbs in this family portrait is what I focused on.

Family portrait in a NYC park

The limbs don’t lie.

I imagine one of the family members peering at the photos on their parents’ or sibling’s shelves on a holiday weekend or birthday or some other gathering years hence.

The expressions here are heartfelt and happy, but it’s the tangle of the family’s loving limbs that captured my attention. These people will have so many experiences in the next couple of decades, but when he comes home from med school or she returns from a trip abroad, I imagine they’ll pick up this photo and remember the emotions of that day, and smile.
