When I photographed the delightful Flynn-McClure family for a feature in Park West Magazine last week, I felt like I was looking through the lens at a variation of my own family’s life. Both Steve and Shelly left secure careers to follow their dreams. I left the law over a decade ago to launch my photography career, and my business partner and wife Sherri left her senior post in advertising to join me. Steve and Shelly opened wine stores in Manhattan. Sherri’s sister and her brother-in-law did nearly the same, leaving careers behind to open their own Washington state winery (TruthTeller Winery). Dreamers, unite!
